Why the tool does not declare a winner

Documentation count is not a quality grade. One proposal can be complete but still unsuitable; another may need a simple written clarification. Price differences can reflect equipment, access, disposal, timing, risk and scope. The worksheet highlights questions you can resolve before signing.

What “insurance independently verified” means

Do not check that item because a website says “insured” or a salesperson shows an image. Request current evidence and verify relevant status with the listed agent or carrier. The directory does not make insurance claims for providers.

Before using totals

  1. Create one request with the scope builder.
  2. Walk the same marked trees with each bidder.
  3. Ask for exclusions and alternatives in writing.
  4. Resolve public-tree, electric-line and excavation questions through the responsible authority.
  5. Keep the final signed proposal, verification records and receipts.
