Mission
The directory helps Knoxville-area homeowners start a contractor search with fewer unsupported claims. A listing identifies only what the provider's own website states: name, website, telephone number, stated service areas, services and whether emergency work is explicitly advertised. Each entry links to its source and shows the date it was checked.
How a business is included
Inclusion is free. A provider must have an identifiable official website that explicitly describes tree-related work and service in Knoxville or the surrounding Knoxville area. A business is omitted when the authoritative source is missing, the service area cannot be established, or the website describes an unrelated category. We do not infer licensing, insurance, quality, availability, price or geographic coverage.
Updates and corrections
The full directory is reviewed at least twice each year, with additional checks when a reader or provider reports a change. A check date means the linked source was reviewed on that date; it is not a real-time guarantee. Substantive corrections are made as promptly as practical.
To report an error, request removal or ask for a listing review, follow the corrections and listing claim instructions. Supporting links are required for factual changes.
Editorial independence
No provider receives paid placement or a preferred rank. The default order is alphabetical. Advertising revenue, including possible Google-served advertising, supports publication but does not determine inclusion or editorial treatment. See the complete editorial and ranking methodology.
